Another Command Prompt is a Portable Windows Command Prompt Alternative

Command Prompt is the most valuable resource to computer geeks for managing and customizing operating system. But in well administered PC command prompt is often disabled for security reasons and also in some malware infested PC, command prompt gets disabled by malware for its smooth performance. Another Command Prompt is an Open Source Portable Windows Command Prompt alternative that is able to bring the same look and feel as Windows Command Prompt.

Another Command Prompt comes as a tiny standalone executable [aCmd.exe ; 56 Kb].
Upon executing the application it opens up its GUI identical to Windows Command prompt. Only difference is that the Texts are brighter in Another Command Prompt.

My Verdict

  3. Actually, Command Prompt Portable uses windows command prompt so it does not work if command prompt is blocked. That is the whole purpose of aCmd.

    Also, the text is brighter because I think that it looks better that way. You can change the text color to the default grey-on-black typing the "color 08" command.
