Datum Memory Booster Frees up RAM by calling Windows API

Freeing up large amount of RAM may be a frequently used marketing keyword, is in fact a fake promise.

most of them rely on the placebo effect, this is, if you think it’s going to work, it will. Also, most of them will try and optimize your system by forcing memory out of RAM.

and that's why I would suggest everyone to upgrade his PC's RAM since it is really cheap these days. But if you wish you can try Datum Memory Booster which claims to work in a different way.

It will however make a Windows API call that tells Windows to clean up the workspace of all processes thus freeing up any memory, processes no longer needs (Clear Processes Working Set). It will do this periodically to help improve the speed and the stability of your system. ......this method will not free up a big amount of RAM, but instead will, as previously stated, improve the stability and performance of your computer. This will also cure memory leaks and in some cases has been able to unfreeze programs.

My Verdict

I am not sure if this software will can make your system more stable. I will personally always prefer you to upgrade RAM but if you don't mind experimenting use Datum Memory Booster; at-least it do not make fake promises. I think this software needs to reduce its CPU usage at idle time.
