LocK-A-FoLdeR secures your private files

Do you use a PC that your friends, colleagues or family members access? If yes, then you must have worried about your private files that you don't want to be accessed by others. LocK-A-FoLdeR is a tiny open-source [Apache License 2.0] application that lets you quickly lock your personal folder. According to the developer Gurjit Singh:

LocK-A-FoLdeR is a lightweight and easy to use program that allows you to hide and lock up any folders on your computer, making them invisible and inaccessible to anyone but yourself. After you create a master password, simply select the folder(s) you want to hide and click a button to make them disappear. To unlock a folder, enter your password and select the folder that you want to unlock.

• Extremely easy to use and straightforward Interface. It is multilingual. You can also translate it in your language. Window is not resizable.

Main Interface

• To lock a folder press "Lock A Folder" and browse for the folder you would like to lock. You can select only one folder at a time. For locking another folder you need to browse for it again. You can lock any number of folders. The process of locking of folder is really fast.

• As soon as you 'Lock a Folder' it will get 'hidden' attributes.

• To remove a folder from the locked list, just select it and click on "Unlock selected Folder". If you cannot find your locked folder listed there go to the "Rescue Center" tab and browse for your desired locked folder.

• You can change your "Master Password".
• You will be able to 'Check for Updates'.
• It requires minimal resources while the interface is open.

Memory Usage

• The keep a folder locked the software requires to change some registry and some additional settings. So, the software doesn't install any process/service/driver for its performance. This makes the software really useful.

My Verdict
I really liked the software. Few things I want to suggest are

1. Dragging and dropping folders to lock list.
2. Let users to select multiple folders in that lock list.
3. While browsing for folders to lock, let users to select multiple folders rather than a single folder.
